Chicago
The Lew fam decided to travel to Chicago, Ilinois, for Spring break this year! It is a pretty big undertaking to get our family of 7 on a plane without adding in all the pandemic precautions, but we did it & I'm sharing all the details in this post and video.
Today I'll share things to know before visiting Chicago, which includes what to do in Chicago in March, Lulus Chicago, Stone Mansion Tour, Bluebird Chicago, Stans Donuts, Worlds Largest Starbucks, and more. Chicago is one of the most visited cities in the US, with fun attractions, incredible architecture, beautiful parks, and some of the best food in the country.

Lake Michigan Live Cam
Can you believe this is Lake Michigan? I have never looked at a lake & not been able to see the other side of it, so this was a first for me! This is one massive body of water. Isn't this aerial shot beautiful? Continue enjoying our footage & read to the end so that you can see more in our video. I promise you're going to love it!
We rented the most amazing 3-story AirB&B in Chicago called the "Stone Mansion." The mansion floor we rented was 2300 square feet complete with private rear & front access, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 car garage & it sleeps 10-20 people. I would definitely recommend snagging this rental for your trip, as it is downtown near everything.
We popped into Bluebird Chicago to grab some burgers, fries & macaroni & cheese. They weren't open for dining in, so we got our food to go. They have a pretty big menu, so try them out if you are in the area.

Crown Fountain Millennium Park Chicago
We found that March is a great time to visit Windy City, well ahead of the summer crowds and festival season. During this time, the winter chills start to subside, and the locals stop hibernating and start venturing out again.
One thing that motivates most people to pack their social calendars again is the coming of St. Patrick's Day. The holiday falls on March 17th; it is celebrated in Chicago for two weeks, dyeing of the Chicago River emerald green for St Patrick's day kicks it off each year.
Worlds Largest Starbucks
You guys!! Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago is 35,000 square feet and five stories tall, making it the largest Starbucks in the world. This gleaming building is located on North Michigan Ave and Erie Street on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Check out the inside here.
