The holiday season is always a bittersweet time for me, because I think a lot about my momma & what it would be like if she were still here. I got my love of cooking from her & enjoy every opportunity to share meals with others due to that. The last few recipes shared have been those that bring comfort specifically because - tis the season.

I really like the freedom of making this dish at home, so you can enjoy it without the restaurant audience. Plus, it allows you to be free of judgement, while eating it & who doesn't like that?! In a sense you get to have your cake & eat it too, so do me a favor save this to your Pinterest board, print a copy & share it with a few of your friends! This dish is made to be enjoyed in a group setting & may be a little richer than most macaroni's you have tasted.

Let's get into the cheesy deliciousness of this dish. If your house is anything like mine macaroni & cheese is pretty high on the comfort food ladder. My family begs me to make it for them any chance they get, but this recipe is the holiday rendition & is sure to knock your socks off. Let's jump right in - shall we?

Below are my favorite tools for this recipe. I like to jazz it up a little bit because food is also about presentation. If you already have tools on hand, no worries - make sure the required sizing matches what you'll need for this dish. To make this recipe you'll need a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, a large bowl, spoon, rubber spatula, measuring cup & some glass ramekins.
