Since I was a pre-teen thrifting has kind of been my thing. I vividly remember hanging out with my mother every other weekend at yard sales, auctions, goodwill & even some really cute small shops. In Ladson, South Carolina we have this area called the flea market that allows these amazing vendors to sell awesome thrifted and & antique finds. For this particular haul, I didn't get a chance to make it there, but I have plans of possibly doing a thrift with me video, so comment below if that is something you'd be interested in.
The weather here has finally started to match our current season, so I felt it was time to get my Fall decor out. This year I wanted to do something a little different than normal, so I headed to Goodwill. Thrifting can be a really great option if you don't want to spend a lot of money & want your home to look collected over time.
I spoke about that in this specific social medial post. Did you see it?

How beautiful is the hammered detail & patina on this piece? I have no idea what it is, but I love it! If you know... tell me in the comment section below.
I found a set of these wooden bowls that are actually from crate & barrel. Side note: I actually love shopping there, so that was a surprising find. They have some pretty awesome affordable entertaining pieces. They also have a sale going on for 25% off already discounted merchandise!
Then I spotted these amber colored bubbled glasses. If haven't heard... amber is the color of the season & has been spotted being implemented everywhere! Get you some... that is if you haven't already.
I never pass up a chance to snag books when I thrift, because they can be used in so many different decor settings. I've used them a lot to take up visual space or introduce color to a bland bookshelf or table. Check them out below on my diy wood shelves.
After grabbing a stack of books I saw this beautiful platter & knew immediately I had to take her home. This year I wanted to be really intentional, yet simplistic with my Fall decor. For one... I'm not trying to buy tons of rubbermaid stackable containers. I think that one for Fall, Spring Summer should be enough. I do however, plan to go all out for Christmas.... In Jesus name, Amen!
Here she is up close....
I also snagged this amazing antique Sheridan silver coffee carafe. I just love the vintage tone it has taken on over time.
See what I mean? I absolutely love all this goodness!
Last, but not least is one of my favorite pieces. Candlesticks are always a must-buy when you see a good pair! This isn't a recent thrift, but you guys seemed to really love seeing them in our eat in kitchen tablescape shots on social media. Aren't they just gorgeous up close?
Check them out in action!
