Quick & Simple Paint Updates

This week I'll share how quick & simple paint updates can breathe life into any well-loved piece in your home. I'll walk you through how I updated a few pieces in my home to match my taste. These projects were free, because I already had leftover paint and items on hand. If you're visiting from Instagram, Facebook, or Youtube welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Quick and Simple Paint Updates

Let's get started. I know you love before & after shots so this post will not disappoint.

Grateful Sign before quick paint update

I loved the look of this sign but the color did not fit my design aesthetic for my space. I think it's a pretty color, but not one I wanted to be front & center in my home. I decided instead of selling it, I'd paint it with this paint I already had. I used this foam brush from Amazon! I love that you get a huge pack for a small amount of money. That means more projects! :)

during quick paint update

Here's a photo of the during, process & if you scroll back up to the first image of my kitchen, you can see the after! Don't you love it?! I love how it stands out on my kitchen walls.

The next piece is one that is well loved. I got it for next to nothing years ago. Before I painted my kitchen it's current color, it went well. I didn't stand out too much afterwards, yet when I painted my cabinetry, it became an eyesore! I knew I needed to do something to fix it, but something was holding me back.... fear! Check out my video about fear, here!

Console before painting

This is what it looked like before I did anything to it. See how dark it is in the space? I'm so glad I painted it. I love the outcome of the finished product! It actually solidifies that I should've done this long ago. Hindsight is twenty-twenty I guess.

console after quick paint update

I love how light and airy the new console color makes this corner! Yes, I used newspaper versus drop cloth this time! I like to live my life on the edge... just kidding this was a spur of the moment painting project! You know you have to strike the moment while the creative irons are HOT!

I loved this last quick update the most because you guys helped me with this one. Do you remember this post on my Instagram stories? I love involving you guys on projects, because it's like you're right here with me!

Now for the close-up shot of my mantle! Based on Instagram comments, this is one of your favorite spaces in my home!

Mantle before painting update

Funny thing about this update is, I had updated the paint on the wall a while back. I never came back & updated accessories to match the new paint. That was a mistake on my part, sometimes I can get so busy outside of the home with clients that I forget!

Mantle after painting update

Again, I didn't have to spend anything to update this thrifted mirror. Since the update, it actually looks like it belongs in the space. Don't you agree?

I hope this week's blog post showed you that you can change the look of your space with quick & simple paint updates! What do you think? If you have any questions, comments, tips or tricks to add to my quick and simple paint updates blog post, please leave them in the comments below. I love to connecting with you guys.
