Today's post is dedicated to improving your health overall. If you are like me, you aren't getting your fair share of healthy nutrients on a daily basis. What can I say ... I'm a foodie at heart! Pasta, cheese, bacon, bread, you name it - I'm eating it! I do understand that all things are ok in moderation, but I'm one of those open the bag of chips & then they're GONE kinda girls! Lately, I've been replacing some of my meals with smoothies to try & counteract my past terrible eating habits. Check out this gem I have for you below! Don't forget to comment & let me know how you like the recipe.

Looking for a blender? This one is perfect for everything from on the go smoothie recipes, to food processing & making soups! Plus, you can have it delivered in as soon as one day!

3 handfuls of baby spring mix (you could also substitute spinach or whatever greens you like)

2 cups of water

2 1/2 cups of frozen berries

2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds ( you could also substitute ground Chia seeds)

1 scoop of protein powder (optional)

Non-Sugar Sweetener to taste

First, add your handfuls of greens into the blender, top with berries, flaxseeds (or chia seeds), protein powder, non sugar sweetener ( like Stevia or Agave). Pulse for about 1 minute, then add in the two cups of water. Blend until smooth & creamy. Enjoy with a friend.

If you're looking for more smoothie recipes. Give this book a try. I also own this one & I love each recipe.

To give this recipe flexibility, the staples we have used could stay the same & you could rotate your greens & fruits. The possibilities are truly endless. If you are using this as a meal replacement, like I did don't forget to add in a little protein. Just a touch will help satiate your hunger & hold you over until your next meal. I really like the freedom of reaching for a more tasty, healthier version than what I'm used to. Plus, it allows me to be free of calorie guilt & who doesn't like that?! In a sense you get to have your cake & eat it too, so do me a favor save this to your Pinterest board, print a copy & share it with a few of your friends!

Tell me below what do you think. If you have any questions, comments, tips or tricks to add to my bold berry smoothie recipe blog post, please leave them in the comments below. I love being able to connecting with you guys.
